On September 13, 2024, the Acquaintance 'Pakighimamat' Celebration was attended by Banilad Center for Professional Development (BCPD) students. "Himamat" is a Cebuano word which means "encounter." The event is a welcoming encounter between the new and returning students to connect, cultivate friendship, foster camaraderie, and strengthen their sense of community.
Before the activities began, the newly elected officers of each section proudly took the stage to recite their oaths of office.
The energy shifted to excitement as each group of students proudly presented their chants. With creativity and enthusiasm, they cheered and performed, showcasing their unique identities and team spirit.
Afterward, students engaged in games and activities, strengthening bonds and allowing them to interact. The event also featured performances that highlighted the diverse talents of BCPD students.
